1- Spamming will not be tolerated on Hope Hills. If you do not know what that is it is “a disruptive, especially commercial message”. Should you wish to advertise your own Role-play forum, you must do so in the “Affiliate & Advertise” board.

2- You may not post in character until your application has been accepted by a member of the Student Union. However, you may post in the chat box or in the out of character board until you are approved.

3- After you create an account you have a week (seven days) to create your character and complete the application. If you do not do so within that week your account will be deleted and so will the character.

4- Please do not create “perfect characters”. No one is perfect; we all have our flaws and quirks. Keep this in mind when you are filling in your applications. We want our characters to be well-rounded and realistic. This means that there is no supernatural stuff in the roleplay. This is a realistic RPG site which means that people do not fly or spit fire. There are no strange new species of human, clones, aliens, or anything of the like.

5- In order to be approved your character’s name must be your display name (example: jane doe - in lower case). Screen names such as XxcutiexX will not be accepted. You must also at the time you apply have an avatar (100 x 100) and a signature (no larger than 550 x 275) of your celebrity.

6- When you are accepted be sure to claim your celebrity and create a relationship thread for your character. There are also Cell Phones, Screen Names, Majors, and AIM.

7- There is a 300 word minimum for each post. You will not be able to post in any of the locations unless you are at 300 words or beyond that. This is a site for literate members, meaning that you should be able to include descriptions of the environment, your characters thoughts, and feelings in your posts. By writing decent length paragraphs you will receive a great deal more in return from your Role-play partner.

8- The site is R-rated which means that your characters may have sex and may swear. However we do ask that if your character is going to get physical with another character, that you place “R” in the threads title so that those who are not comfortable with such explicit posting can avoid it. As for swearing, please just don’t go over board. We don’t want characters dropping the F-bomb every other line. It just gets irritating and uncalled for.

9- Discrimination of any kind (race, gender, age, religion, etc) will not be tolerated in posts or out of character. You will be banned without question.

10- No god-modding or controlling another person’s characters. This means you cannot kill of someone’s character without their consent or anything similar. (If you have read this far place the word “candy” in the “word” section of your application) You must have the person’s permission to do so.

11- You are allowed to have a maximum of five characters on this site. For each new character you must create a new account and re-apply with them. You must make one male for every three female character's you create.

12- Please respect the staff and other members. If you have a problem with anyone let a staff member know so that they can meditate. We do not want any vigilante work or fighting through PMs or in the chat-box. Come to us and will resolve the problem.

13- We want active members! We understand that you have lives beyond the forum but especially if you have a canon, try to post at least twice a week.

14- Enjoy yourself. The site is here for your entertainment and the administrators want you to have fun. Follow the rules and create characters whom you will truly enjoy.
